About Counselling & Psychotherapy:

Counselling and Psychotherapy offers a confidential, safe, and supportive space to explore your thoughts, feelings, emotions, and behaviours without fear of judgement or criticism. It is an effective way to help you work through issues in your life that may have left you feeling stuck, anxious, or overwhelmed.  Counselling and psychotherapy can also provide the space needed to help you understand not only yourself but how you respond or react to the world around you.

Is There A Difference
Between Counselling and Psychotherapy:

It can be hard to distinguish the difference between counselling and psychotherapy as both offer an empathetic, collaborative, and safe space for a client however, counselling usually focusses on a particular issue that is currently happening in your life and tends to be for a shorter length of time.

Psychotherapy on the other hand explores issues that may have stemmed from your past or early childhood that are continuing to affect you in your daily life.  Psychotherapy tends to be deeper work and over a longer timeframe. As a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist, I will work in whatever way best suits your needs.

What to Expect:

Each session will last 50 minutes on an agreed day and time each week.  Weekly sessions are encouraged as it not only allows our work to develop but it also helps you get a deeper understanding of your experiences as opposed to ad hoc sessions which tend to be more of a catch up rather than doing the deeper work.

How Do I Cancel Our Session:

If you need to cancel your therapy session, a minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required. If you do not cancel within the given timeframe, you will be asked to pay the full fee for the missed session.

“The path where we slowly discover that there is something good inside us that we can trust; an inner strength that cannot be broken, through recovery, we learn to rest in our own skin, to listen and to take care of the person we are.”
