At some point in our lives we will experience the difficult emotions of grief and loss whether that be from losing a loved one, a parent, a child, a job, a relationship/friendship or a marriage to name but a few. While the grieving process is unique to each individual, many of the emotions are universal. These emotions can range from feelings of helplessness, sadness, anger, shame, confusion, a loss of identity or sense of self.
Navigating the grieving process can feel very isolating especially if those around you have not experienced a significant loss or expect you to move on with your life in accordance to their timeframe.
Grief and loss is not a linear process, rather it is an experience that deserves all the time and space necessary for you to grief in a way that honours both you and the loss you have experienced.
